Regarding The Theology Discussed
In Chapters 33 - 42

Perhaps some of the doctrines which Michael raised are new to you, and you’d like to read more about them and consider them further as you compare them with the Bible. Or perhaps they make you feel uncomfortable.

Below is a list of online resources for further reading about God’s sovereignty in salvation. They are written by people far more skilled than I at explaining the Bible’s teaching in these areas, and I encourage you to keep reading and searching until your questions are answered.

While on this side of eternity, we will not always understand WHY God acts in certain ways and we must be careful never to draw conclusions beyond what he clearly reveals in Scripture. But it is our duty – and delight – to search out WHAT he has revealed through his Word.

“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” Deuteronomy 29:29

If this is an area too difficult to look into at the present time, just lay these things up in your heart and carry on in your walk with the Lord with your eyes always firmly on Him and His Word. It is my experience (and belief – although I can’t think of any specific scripture to back it up!) that if God wants to teach us something it keeps coming at us from one direction after another.

His inadequate servant,
Rachel Brown

“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?” For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” Romans: 11:33-36

The Apologetics Group - Amazing Grace DVD
Honestly a brilliant documentary. Theologically excellent and deeply practical. After watching it we ordered three copies from the US so we could have one to give, one to lend and one to keep. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Watch two substantial sample clips from the DVD here.

Link to Theological Novel 'A Journey In Grace'

Journey in Grace by Richard Belcher
A Tulipfiction reader mentioned this Theological Novel to me not long after Tulipfiction went online but I only came across it a year or so ago. I thoroughly enjoyed it and also highly recommend it. If my proportion of fiction to theology is about 80% novel and 20% theology then I’d say “A Journey In Grace” is about the opposite mix – yet still very enjoyable and easy to read.

I haven't read any further in the series, but I hope to one day.
